Two Lone Star State cities will go head to head to benefit first responders and veterans suffering the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
This spring, Indian Motorcycle and Motorcycle Missions will host a motorcycle build-off challenge between Dallas and Austin first responders and veterans. Each team is to design and build a motorcycle, specifically an Indian Chief Dark Horse customized bike to raise funds for Motorcycle Missions. One member of Team Dallas will be Fort Hood shooting survivor, army veteran John Arroyo.
A nonprofit, Motorcycle Missions assists veterans as well as first responders via motorcycle therapy. The other half of the build-off sponsorship, Indian Motorcycle, is the U.S.’s first motorcycle company.
Companies as well as nonprofits benefit from a Logo Design that can instantly identify the organization to the public.
On April 12 the custom bikes will be revealed at the 17th annual Peace Love Happiness charity weekend. Funds raised during the charity weekend goes to the 100 Club of Central Texas which lends emotional and financial support to families of killed or injured in the line of duty first responders.
Fans can view and vote for their favorite custom bikes on April 13 at Indian Motorcycle and Motorcycle Missions’ Facebook and Instagram pages. On August 6, each custom bike will be auctioned off at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. All proceeds will go to Motorcycle Missions.
