Mothers Day Home Tour comes to Swiss Avenue

The Historic District of Swiss Avenue will once again be hosting its Mother’s Day Home Tour here, paying tribute to Dallas' historic past with tours of some of the community’s finest examples of early 20th Century homes.

This popular event has become a traditional for families and friends and features more than just the house tours. In conjunction with the open houses will be a vintage auto display, open-air art fair, a children’s play space, live entertainment, and food trucks in Savage Park.

Poster printing services provide a marketing option that offers more room for detailed information on an event.

Air-conditioned mini-coaches or horse drawn carriages will be on hand to transport participants to tour locations. On a first come, first served basis, tour groups will comprise 30 guests spaced 30 minutes apart.

This year will be the 50th year for the tour, which will take place on Mother’s Day Weekend. On Saturday, May 13, the tour will take place 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday, May 14’s hours will be 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm. A Mother’s Day Brunch is scheduled for Sunday at 11:00 am at Dorothy & Wallace Savage Park.

Tickets are available for purchase at the Skillman-Live Oak Shopping Center at Talulah & HESS, and in the Hillside Village Shopping Center in the Texas Goods Company.
