Mosaic project promises growth for affluent Dallas suburb
The rapidly growing, affluent Dallas suburb of Celina is set to see its building boom shift into overdrive with a $1.45bn master-planned residential community in the works.
Mosaic, a project by the real estate investment Tellus Group LLC, is a 686-acre planned development nine miles southwest of Celina and approximately one mile away from the Dallas North Tollway. The first homes are expected to be finished in Spring 2023. Prices for the approximately 3,000 houses will be between the low $400,000s to over $1m. The completion of the whole community will take 6 to 10 years.
Banner printing services are frequently employed to identify construction sites and sometimes provide information on a projected completion date.
A nature-inspired lifestyle is a theme that Mosaic will be incorporating into its design. Over 47 acres of open space and parks will be included in the plans with each home being no more than a five-minute walk from a park or greenway. The development will also feature several lakes complete with fishing piers.
According to the Census Bureau, Celina’s population in April 2020 was 16,739 compared to a population in April 2010 of 6,028, which comes out to a 178% increase, making it North Texas’ fastest-growing city.
The population of Celina is projected to increase to 51,000 by 2026. City officials anticipate the area’s population to top out at 378,000.
