In 2020, the world-renown La Tarte Tropézienne, a French bakery café, will open in Dallas its very first bakery not located in its native country, and will offer a preview of a holiday catering menu.
The bakery, established in 1955 by Alexandre Micka, takes its name from its signature pastry, which was named for the village where Micka founded his bakery – Saint-Tropez.
The Tarte Tropézienne consists of a two creams blended and piped on a gourmet sweet brioche with a sprinkling of sugar. A limit of three people on the planet know the secret recipe. Other bakery items include pain au chocolate, eclairs, fruit tarts, and brioche.
The new catering menu will include salads, sandwiches, croissants, charcuterie boards, and its famed Tarte Tropézienne, which comes in several enticing configurations. This is only an abridged menu and will be in place until the storefront is operational.
Prior to their opening, new restaurants, diners and bakeries are dependent on Print shops to supply them with Menus that emphasis the character and replicate the décor of their establishment.
Until the bakery opens, only catering orders will be filled and there is a minimum order of $150. Catering orders must be placed a minimum of 72 hours ahead of delivery.
The bakery in downtown Dallas is still waiting on permits from the city, but hopes to open by early 2020.
