Days of the Dead, which is a convention organized for the fans, by the fans, will take place at the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel during the Halloween season.
Days of the Dead originated at the Wyndham Indianapolis West in 2011 and has now expanded to include six other cities - Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Louisville. The primary objectives of these conventions is to return to the original genre convention concept of like-minded friends and fans enjoying themselves at a welcoming social gathering.
Special events that anticipate returning annually, take great care in their first few years to be announced and promoted well ahead of time using a variety of marketing tools, including Banners, Flyers, and poster printing.
According to the promoters, this is not one of the impersonal “pay-and-go” autograph show convention experience, which have become the norm. Day of the Dead is filled with special events made-to-order for its fans. A variety of after-hours horror-themed parties as well as an enormous guest list that includes up-and-coming independent filmmakers, artists and the hottest celebrity guests.
The date to remember is Friday, October 11, the first night of the convention, which will lay siege to the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel for an unbridled three days of horror fun.
