The recent purchase of a building by Dwell with Dignity will provide the Dallas organization with a home for its annual Thrift Studio, which had previously been held as a pop-up event.
A non-profit, Dwell with Dignity provides assistance to deserving recipients with home interiors. Among its clients are those who have been homeless, single mothers, and those escaping poverty, domestic abuse, and trauma. The group has been offering its design services to alter community spaces since 2019.

According to the organization, the newly acquired location at 1833 E. Levee Street will permit it to expand its mission of providing and installing the interior spaces of community spaces and family homes. Moreover, it will provide a permanent location for Thrift Studio, the group’s major fundraiser, which starts in late August and continues on through early October.
In a press release, the executive director of Dwell with Dignity, Ashley Sharp stressed that a permanent home has long been part of the vision for the studio.
The annual Thrift Studio features leading North Texas designers, showrooms and retailers offering luxuriously furnished vignettes to shoppers along with a selection of fine art to shoppers. Everything on display is offered at a deep discount all to benefit Dwell with Dignity.
