Dallas diners in love with the Canadian-based Tim Horton chain of doughnut and coffee shops will be happy to know that the DFW area will soon have two locations from which to choose.
The first Dallas area location will open in Coppell in late 2024 and will be a 1,600-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru. The second location will be in the Denton Center shopping plaza located on the corner of Carroll Boulevard and University Drive in Denton.
New eateries often use flyer printing services to announce their openings or help in promoting special grand opening deals.
The chain, which was founded by legendary NHL player Horton in 1964, originally focused on selling hamburgers before moving on to donuts and jumping on the coffee and espresso-based drink bandwagon in the 1980s. The Tim Horton chain came to New York in 1984 and currently has stores in 10 states to go with the nearly 3,600 doughnut shops it operates throughout Canada.
In addition to donuts and coffee, the restaurant sells wraps, sandwiches, bagels, avocado toast, muffins, croissants, and cookies. The chain’s signature item is its doughnut holes named TimBits in honor of its founder.
The Tim Horton expansion into DFW is being handled by the Houston-based franchisee CSM Group, which was responsible for the chain’s first Texas location in 2022 in Katy. CSM also owns and operates over 75 Popeyes and Tim Hortons across Texas, Missouri, and Kansas.
