The personal finance website has issued a report that ranks the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area as the 8th best location in the country for launching a new small business. Citing the area’s rapid growth, every expanding population and diverse economy among its most favorable attributes.
Although the move to remote working means it is easier than ever for Dallas entrepreneurs to launch their businesses, it is nevertheless important for the longevity of their venture to do so in a location with the optimum number of connections and resources.
According to the report:
"The more resources a small business owner has, the better chances they have to succeed. This is why, despite the overall shift to a remote-centric world, geographic location matters more than ever for a small business’s long-term success."

Another Lone Star State metro topped the list of best places to start a small business – Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown. Provo-Orem, Utah took the No. 2 spot and Raleigh-Cary, North Carolina garnered the No. 3 spot.
To arrive at their rankings The Credit Review considered data from the top 100 U.S. metro regions using 10 criteria among which were growth rates, unemployment rates and new business success rates.
