Dallas schools score highly in national rankings

A U.S. News & World Report recently released the state and national standings for the 2018 Best High Schools, and Dallas, as well as other municipalities in Northern Texas, has made an impressive showing.

Two Dallas Independent School District schools, each at Townview, have garnered the second and third positions in the state. The Talented and Gifted at Townview Center (also known as TAG) and the Dallas School of Science and Engineering not only did well among Texas schools, but nationally as well, ranking No. 11 and No. 13 respectively.

These rankings, as well as the fact that each of these schools have graduation rates of 100%, will almost certainly be included in material real estate companies forward to printing services to promote neighborhoods in which they are attempting to sell homes.

In total, 17 schools in the Dallas ISD made the Texas Best High Schools list along with schools in several other North Texas communities. Ranking No. 8 and No. 17 in the state were McKinney’s Imagine International Academy of North Texas and Westlake Academy Charter School. The two schools also made the national list at No. 49 and No. 79 respectively.

The cities of Irving and Arlington made the Texas list at 27 and 28 with Uplift Education-North Hills Prep High School in Irving and the Uplift Summit International High School in Arlington.
