A new study conducted by WalletHub evaluated summer getaway destinations using a number of criteria, and ranked Dallas-Fort Worth high on its list of summer getaway locations.
The personal finance site WalletHub rated destinations on 40 strategic indicators of their budget-friendliness and fun potential. More than 100 metro areas in the U.S. were compared and rated, with DFW garnering seventh place.
This is something Dallas will want to advertise to encourage companies in the hospitality industry to open locations here. Meanwhile, startups inspired by the WalletHub study will find Logo Design help from Dallas Print shops invaluable.
DFW did especially well when it came to the cost and convenience of traveling here, ranking No. 1 for most inexpensive flight and No. 3 for lowest travel expenses and least travel hassles. Once here, travelers staying at a three-star hotel will pay the 14th lowest cost and will have the 15th lowest expenses when compared to other destinations.
Although there are almost 49 million visitors to the Dallas-Fort Worth area each year and it is Texas’ top tourist destination, WalletHub rated Austin higher. First place on WalletHub’s list was Washington, D.C., followed by Orlando, Florida with Austin taking third place.
Among other Texas summer destinations, Houston came in at No. 10, with similar strong points to DFW – low travel costs, hassles and local costs – and 17th place went to San Antonio.
