The Concert Truck and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will once again team up to provide free pop-up performances during the last three months of 2022.
First introduced to Dallas residents, a converted 16-foot box truck called The Concert Truck began making the rounds during the pandemic. The mobile concert hall, which contains lights, a sound system and piano, was enthusiastically received by the Dallas public when it was introduced during 2020 and returned for more performances in Spring 2021.
Now the 45-minute live performances are returning to bars and shopping centers to the delight of the music loving public. The Concert Truck will "pop-up" at locations across Dallas to provide their outdoor concerts including at White Ale House, North Park Center, Central Market, Galleria Dallas, and Klyde Warren Park.
As before, the concerts will be a partnership among DSO musicians, concert pianists, other art organizations, and the founders of Concert Truck, Nick Luby and Susan Zhang. Two after-party concerts, called DSO After Dark with The Concert Truck, will take place on November 11 and November 18 at Hall Arts and will include light hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
Among the items Print shops provide are event programs.
The Concert Truck’s website has a list of the Dallas Schedule. The pop-up concerts will run from October 24 through December 5 with each lasting 45 minutes to an hour. The concerts are free and no tickets are required.
