Bold, extravagant brunch headed from Northeast to Dallas

A new eatery is coming to Dallas’ Victory Park and it will be serving brunch all day, New England-style.

The all-day brunch spot known as The Place 2 Be (TP2B) has chosen Dallas as its first location beyond the Northeast. Having a self-described “content-friendly” décor, TP2B will be located at the former Dibs on Victory site at 2401 Victory Park Lane.

A Print shop can coordinate items such as Menus and internal signage to match the décor and theme of an eatery.

The restaurant is part of the Hartford-based restaurant group The Statement Group, which was established by Gina Luari in Hartford to cater to restaurants owned entirely by women. Luari opened the first The Place 2 Be location in 2016. Dallas will be the group’s first foray outside of New England.

Four TP2B locations are presently open: three in Hartford, Connecticut, and one in Springfield, Massachusetts. Additionally, there two more in progress. The Dallas TP2B is slated to be the seventh location. It will be the largest so far and the only one to offer rooftop-patio dining.

The culinary matters for TP2B are handled by Culinary Director Chef Xavier Santiago and Assistant Culinary Director Chef Maurice “Mo” Major, both Food Network Chopped Champions.

TP2B purports to having a game-changing method of running its restaurants that includes fairly compensating staff.

Brunch at The Place 2 Be here in Dallas will have to wait a while however, as the new eatery is not expected to open until 2023.
