Animefest Comes Back to Dallas for its 20th Anniversary

Towards the end of the Summer, Dallas is going to see the 20th year of Animefest, possibly one of the oldest anime and manga conventions in the United States. Dallas is renowned for it's popular area to host conventions because of it's spacious convention centers and hotels, and for this reason Anime and Manga fans often come together to plan and coordinate panels and guest appearances for anime based conventions in the area because of the ever abundant fan-base in the city.

Anime is Japanese animated shows and films that both engross people of all ages because of it's varying degrees of seriousness and comedy while manga is the illustrated form of this put into graphic novels. The popularity for Japanese culture has spiked in the past decade and it only continues to rise as different conventions sprout around the world, which will continue for as long as there is anime and the apparatus to advertise it. A fairly simple yet successful business practice that convention coordinators take part in is commissioning printing companies. The convention coordinators may hire local printing companies for flyer printing and poster printing that will possibly portray different characters from popular anime shows and manga volumes as well as the convention's logo.

The Convention is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 31st, to Monday, September 3rd, and will be held at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. Membership pricing varies depending on the attending date, starting at $30 on Friday, $35 on Saturday, $35 on Sunday, and $25 on Monday.
