The oldest hotel in Dallas, the Adolphus Hotel, recently celebrated its centenary. However, it is also waiting for a buyer who will be able to bring the hotel into the 21st century while maintaining the old-fashioned charm which exudes from the magnificent building.
The Adolphus Hotel was built on October 5, 1912 by Adolphus Busch - a beer baron from St. Louis. He became a hotelier in North Texas in 1910 as trade and commerce in Dallas grew. The hotel was at one time the tallest building to exist in Texas, with 21 floors. Flemish wall tapestries and portraits of royals represent the early days of grandeur of the hotel. Although the hotel is still magnificent and a landmark of Dallas, surrounding hotels have undergone huge refurbishments, complete with the latest technology and modern features.
Figures provided for the hotel, which has 422 rooms, show that sales have dropped during the last four quarters, resulting in the hotel being placed on the market. Around 20 parties are believed to be interested in the hotel. Although it has strong foundations and potential for the future, the present owners will let someone else decide what the future of the hotel will be. The impending sale will no doubt have created opportunities for local printing companies, perhaps charged with the provision of Brochures.
Although technical upgrades have been made to the hotel, more modernization needs to take place, leaving a solid and charming hotel equipped with all the state of the art services people could wish for.Get a Free Quote for Brochures
