Arguably Deep Ellum’s most popular BBQ restaurant, the award-winning Pecan Lodge, will be partnering with American Airlines to make some of its favorite menu items available on select DFW to New York flights.
Pecan Lodge opened in Dallas’ Deep Ellum neighborhood in 2014 where it quickly garnered a following. Standouts on its menu include smoked brisket and a loaded baked sweet potato referred to as a “Hot Mess”. The restaurant has been spotlighted on Guy Fieri’s show, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.
Flyers wishing to enjoy Pecan Lodge’s BBQ in-flight must preorder with American’s mobile app or via aa.com. This special meal will only be available to first class passengers beginning in February for those traveling from DFW Airport to LaGuardia Airport or JFK International Airport.
The input of local Print shops can be highly affective at designing a new restaurant’s menu.
In February the offering from Pecan Lodge will consist of a platter featuring barbecue brisket, smoke sausage, coleslaw, mac & cheese, onions, pickles and BBQ sauce. The BBQ option for March will be a chopped Brisket sandwich with potato salad, green beans, onions, pickles and BBQ sauce.
According to the Fort Worth-based airline, its partnership with Pecan Lodge is just its latest attempt to elevate the travel experience of its customers. Among the other recent menu additions have been Lavazza coffee and Champagne Bollinger, both of which are available in airport lounges and in the air.
