Vet house call option soon available in Dallas

Dallas will soon become one of the cities serviced by VetPronto, a company that partners with local veterinarians to provide pet house calls.

Nicknamed the ‘Uber of veterinarians’, Vet Pronto, which operates in 10 cities will soon be adding Dallas to its list of member cities. Joe Waltman, the company’s CEO and co-founder explained that including Dallas had been on the horizon for some time, but locating vets to work with had to happen first.

VetPronto clients can select from a list of participating vets and then a house call is arranged once the pet’s previous records have been obtained. According to Waltman, nearly every procedure that can be done in a vet’s office, including blood tests, can be performed during a house call.

If they have not already, residents may soon see Flyers advertising VetPronto, which is expecting to launch here on Monday, February 20. House calls are $150, plus (if needed) additional costs of $25 - $50 for medicine. Appointments are generally made via a website, but a mobile app for Android and iPhone is also available.

Vet Pronto was founded in 2015, and since then has brought medical assistance to more than 7,000 dogs and cats. The service reduces the stress animals experience from a trip to the vet, as well as making it easier for their owners.
