Chicago-style hot dogs now available at DFWs Terminal B

The Chicago-based hot dog chain Portillo’s is opening its inaugural airport location and has chosen the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport as the site.

In Terminal B immediately across from the CultureMap sign, Portillo’s opened a couple of days past Memorial Day. Naturally, unlike most of their locations, the one at the airport will not have a drive-thru option; however, the restaurant does has a small dining room that seats approximately 50 guests.

Newly opened businesses usually have a particular need for special signage. A banner printing service can supply this.

Though the flavor at the airport’s Portillo might be Chicago-style, the décor is all DFW with a colorful mural depicting the airport on the restaurant’s back wall, bookended by the Dallas and Fort Worth skylines.

The menu will include signature Portillo’s items such as the chain’s Chicago-style hot dogs, chargrilled burgers, Italian beef sandwiches, and chocolate cake. Additionally, the DFW Portillo’s will be serving breakfast from 5:00 am to 10:30 am every day, including an egg and cheese sandwich, Polish sausage, and a croissant containing maple sausage and egg.

High-flying diners will have several opportunities for ordering from Portillo’s, among which are self-serve kiosks, register ordering, and order-ahead pickup. A dedicated grab and go area will also be available for travelers to quickly acquire food to take on the plane or eat at their gate.

No stranger to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, this will be Portillo’s 12th location here.
