New Brix Holdings owner to expand Friendlys to Dallas

The multi-brand franchising company Bix Holdings has been purchased by Legacy Brands International and the group manager for the investment group has plans to expand one of the franchises into Texas, specifically Dallas.

Group manager for Legacy Brands International, Amol Kohli is himself a multi-unit Friendly’s franchisee, which may explain part of his enthusiasm to expand that particular franchise into the Carolinas and Georgia as well as Texas immediately. Other franchises that were included in the transaction include Orange Leaf, Souper Salad, Smoothie Factory + Kitchen, Humble Donut Co. and Red Mango.

Flyer printing services not only help to introduce new food establishments to an area but also are useful in advertising specials.

Founded in 1935 in Springfield Massachusetts, an ice cream shopped began selling cones for 5 cents and over time grew into a chain that included a range of ice cream-based products as well as diner-style food. Friendly, as the founders, brothers Curtis Blake and S. Prestley Blake, called their enterprise, spread primarily throughout the Northeast. Their menu reflected the regions favorite dishes such as fried clams and fish & chips as well as patty melts. Other areas where the chain has made headway include parts of the southeast, particularly Florida, where Northeasterners flee to escape the cold during retirement and for vacations.

Brix’s headquarters will stay in Dallas and Sherif Mityas will continue as its CEO with the assistance of the existing leadership team.
