TSU announces partnership with Dallas College

Texas State University (TSU) is extending its influence into the Dallas area via a newly created partnership with Dallas College.

Together these two schools have launched a co-enrollment program called Texas State Local @ Dallas College that will provide students with a pathway to achieve a bachelor’s degree as well as an associate degree. As outlined in a March 28 news release Dallas College students will be able to complete their degree by transferring to Texas State.

Based at the Richland campus of Dallas College, the program will provide a more flexible and affordable path for students seeking a four-year degree in finance, management, and marketing as well as Information Systems with an emphasis on AI or Business Analytics.

Banner printing is used extensively at universities to direct students and visitors as well as to drum up excitement for upcoming events.

Students taking part in the program could potentially save in tuition and fees as much as $18,500 per 2025 rates. In addition to the financial savings, the program will give students access to libraries, counseling services, computer labs, academic advising and sporting events at each school.

Sixty-three hours are required of students at Dallas College per the co-enrollment model before being able to finish their degree at Texas State. Those moving from Dallas College to take courses in-person at Texas State’s Round Rock or San Marcos campuses will also, depending on their GPA, qualify for merit awards.

Applications open this fall.
