Dallas school shines in Best High School ranking

U.S. News & World Report recently revealed its annual ranking for Best High Schools in the country. Texas schools did well and one particular Dallas high school has something to brag about.

Talented and Gifted in Dallas has been ranked No. 1 on the 2015 Best High Schools list from U.S. News & World Report. This makes it the school’s fourth time in as many years in the top spot. Trailing the Dallas school were BASIS Scottsdale in Arizona and Alexandria, Virginia’s Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.

Three other Texas high schools made it into the top 10 list. The School of Science and Engineering Magnet, Dallas appeared at No. 5, Carnegie Vanguard High School, Houston made it to No. 6, and Lamar Academy in McAllen was at No. 9. No doubt each of these schools will be contacting their printing company to include this year’s results of the latest Best High School list in their literature.

In addition to its list of the 2015 Best High School in the nation, U.S. News also compiled other lists such as Best STEM Schools, Best Magnet Schools, and Best Charter Schools. Additional individual statewide rankings were carried out as well.

On the U.S. News website, data for thousands of schools is available, including college readiness, enrollment, and state assessments.
