Dallas-Fort Worth area has Texas biggest floating water park

This summer, Lake Grapevine is playing host to Texas’ biggest floating aqua park-obstacle course – Altitude H2O.

Dallas residents who spend part of their summer in the Lake Grapevine area will want to be sure and check out a new, temporary attraction. Through Labor Day, in Meadowmere Park at Lake Grapevine, a huge floating playground is offering a wide range of fun and healthy exercise.

Children age six and over can work their way around a Witbit Aqua Park, slipping and sliding while crossing a wiggle bridge, balance beam, monkey bars and half-pipe. The whole playground floats above the eight-foot-deep lake.

At 25,000-square-feet, the Altitude H2O offers lots of space for fun but comes with a few rules as well. All participants must be able to swim and wear a lifejacket issued by the park. Children under 18 must be accompanied by parents or guardians and a signed waiver is required for each participant, as well as attendance at a mandatory 15-minute safety orientation.

A banner printing service is often utilized to ensure guests who have never visited a facility such as Meadowmere Park can easily spot entrances.

Altitude H2O is open every day from noon to 5:00 pm with tickets costing $20 for a 45-minute session or $30 per double session. Entrance to Meadowmere Park is $5 a car. Certified lifeguards are on hand to monitor the course.
