Dallas Discovery District gains two new eateries

In downtown Dallas’ AT&T Discovery District, The Second Floor at The Exchange is offering two new dining options – Ichi Ni San and Ounce.

Ichi Ni San’s chef Peja Krstic runs a non-traditional Japanese restaurant, serving classic dishes with a twist. Krstic, who also owns Mot Hai Ba, a local Vietnamese restaurant will, however, allow a more traditional approach to sushi and sashmimi under the purview of chef Somnuk Gatesuwan.

Among the selections on Ichi Ni San’s menu are tofu and avocado rice bowl, snow crab onigiri, sea bass, pork rib katsu, chicken and omelette rice bowl, and Osaka-style okonomiyaki, which is a savory pancake. Sushi and sashimi options include spicy crunchy salmon, shrimp tempura, and crispy tofu.

The development of a Logo Design, which will appear on an assortment of printed promotional and branding materials, including the menu, is of vital importance to a new eating establishment.

Texas brasserie Ounce is operated by chef Brian Zenner and features small plates. According to Zenner, inspiration for Ounce’s menu was drawn from the flavors of Texas, with Europe and Mediterranean cuisines also an influence. Menu items include prawns a la Plancha, French onion soup, lamb tartare, veal schnitzel, roasted mushroom and bacon toast, and duck confit toast.

The inaugural meal at both of these new dining establishments will be dinner this Wednesday, December 16.
