Austin philanthropy group reaches $9 million donations
Impact Austin will celebrate the $9 million milestone of donations when its annual general meeting is held next month.
The women’s collective philanthropic organization includes over 3000 members who have been financially supporting central Texas non-profit groups since 2003. Heading into its AGM, the organization has contributed a total of $8.84 million.
Each year, nonprofits of all kinds and sizes have the opportunity during the grant cycle to apply for funds for their projects and programs. This year's grants will total almost $300,000, putting Impact Austin over the $9 million mark.
The group’s annual general meeting will be a networking event and include member voting and announcement of awards. The 2025 funding spans three focus areas, including health and well-being, education and community. Votes will determine which finalist in each group will receive $80,000 while the runners-up will each be awarded $18,000.
The awards evening will begin with time for networking and appetizers before the main meeting and in-person voting begins. While not able to vote, guests can attend the event for a $10 fee. Community events such as this present an opportunity for attendees to ensure they have business cards available for self-promotion.
The Impact Austin AGM will be held June 9, 2025 at 5 pm at the Central Library Special Events Center, 710 West Cesar Chavez Street in Austin.
