Starting August 5, the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry will make available a new series of career workshops calculated to enable attendees to formulate their own individual career strategy.
The program offered by St. Jude’s in Allen is a “fast track” version of the seven-step job search initiative known as the Crossroads Career®Network Program. The seven-step series is condensed into sessions lasting three hours, and held once a week for four weeks. A fifth session is also available for those who wish to review a step or who may have been unable to attend one of the previous sessions.
According to the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry’s volunteer coordinator, Jack Bick, the program was introduced in July 2014 to assist the unemployed in finding work. However, it was soon realized that those seeking career advancement, as well as college students, could benefit from the program as well.
The program will likely result in a small surge in business for Print companies as participants seek quality printed résumés and digital Business Cards.
The curriculum is scheduled for four consecutive Wednesdays at St. Jude Parish from 9:00 am to noon starting today, August 5. The last regular class will take place August 26, but a comprehensive review will be held the following Wednesday morning. The workshops welcome everyone, with the only cost being $15 for a Crossroads Career workbook.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Print
