Allen to host concert series

The Watters Creek shopping village in Allen is hosting its annual Concerts by the Creek this summer.

Held on Saturday evenings, this free concert series encourages participants to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an open-air experience with the option of dining from the mall’s local restaurants, taken “to go.”

Bands from throughout the region will perform each night, with outdoor concert seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.

While outside food and drinks are forbidden, there are local village restaurants offering a variety of cold beverages, served in a standardized plastic cup, and entrees and snacks.

Large Bags, coolers, and outside plateware and silverware are also prohibited.

This summer’s concert lineup includes performances by 60s-80s tribute band Chasing Angels, 80s-2000s tribute band GenXiles, the Southern Couch Band, country band Good N Gone, and the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra playing a “Patriotic Salute” on America’s Independence Day, July 4.

In addition to the summer series, Watters Creek Village also hosts concerts in the spring and fall, all the way through the end of September.

Concerts like this may choose to use poster printing to create advertisements for forthcoming artists.

The Concerts by the Creek Summer Series is on Saturdays from July 4 to August 29 from 8 am to 10 pm each day at Watters Creek at 840 Watters Creek Blvd in Allen.
