Allen is set to host a Valentine’s Day Kids Night Out cooking class at Flour Power Cooking Studios.
The studio normally hosts weekly classes for children, including its Lil’ Chef and Tween Chef programs. However, the one-off Valentine’s Day Kids Night Out event is open to all children ages 5-12, even if they are not regular students.
Other Kids Night Out events are held every Friday to help parents with providing activities for their children.
The Valentine’s Day-themed event, held on the weekend of the holiday of love, is priced at $50 for the entire three-hour session.
Recipes being explored include the heart-shaped garlic knots, cheese-filled Lasagna roll-ups and whipped cream-topped Strawberry Napoleons for dessert.
Flour Power Cooking Studios is a chain of cooking studios, with locations in multiple states across the U.S. While the franchise still holds children’s classes, it has recently aimed at expanding its audience to adults with the company’s acquisition by Won Life Brands in 2023.
Flour Power Cooking Studios President Sarah Mortiz, who is spearheading the rebranding effort, joined as part of the new ownership change.
The company, initially called Lil’ Chef, was founded in 2008 by Susan Caldwell.
Cooking classes like this may choose to use printing services to make laminated instruction sheets and recipe cards.
The Kids Night Out event is happening on February 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Flour Power Cooking Studio at 1010 W. Exchange Parkway #1150 in Allen.
