The Allen Public Library’s Civic Auditorium is hosting the Allen Community Jazz Band for its Jazzy Christmas Concert this December in Allen.
In a setlist appropriate for all ages, the free concert will include a unique mix of big band standards and holiday classics.
Comprising the more jazz-inclined members of the Allen Community Band, the non-profit organization’s Jazz Band subdivision rehearses every Tuesday night in the Lowery Freshman Center in Allen. The band is currently full and not accepting new members, but the overarching Allen Community Band (ACB) is still accepting registrations online. If there is an open seat available, applicants will be contacted.
ACB was established in 2013 as an all-volunteer organization and is inclusive to all skill levels and instrumentalists. The only requirement to join, pending an open seat, is for adult applicants to have some band experience. However, when there is an opening, no audition is required to join.
Under the leadership of founder, director, and trumpet player Craig Logan, ACB has held concerts for the community for over a decade with a variety of different musical styles.
Artists who perform at concerts like this may choose to use business card printing to stay in touch with venue management, instrument shops, and local sponsors.
The Allen Community Jazz Band is hosting its Jazzy Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 21 at 3:00 pm in the Allen Public Library’s Civic Auditorium at 300 North Allen Drive in Allen.
