Local blues band to perform at Allen concert series

The Watters Creek Summer in the Park Series in Allen will be inviting the Buffalo Blues Band to perform in August.

The Buffalo Blues Band will be entertaining the community with crowd-pleasing covers of hit songs from the classic rock and blues genres. David Lovrien, a professional saxophone player, will also make a special appearance during the performance. The concert is a family-friendly event that encourages attendees to dance along. The Buffalo Blues Band initially formed during 2008. The members of the group were originally Metroplex musicians who had experience as open-mic night performers. A Dallas journalist once wrote a piece about the band, featuring the group in an issue of SW Blues Magazine. They have played at many venues throughout the state, including cities like Richardson and Dallas. The Buffalo Blues Band has also performed at birthday parties and hosted a Halloween bash.

Those interested in watching the concert can visit Watters Creek on Friday, August 14. The show will start at 7:00 pm and will finish at 9:00 pm. Admission to the performance is free for the public, and there will be limited no-cost parking. Guests can also use the street meters by the park. Attendees may bring blankets from home to sit on during the concert.
