Junie B. Jones Jr. musical to showcase Allens youth

The children of Allen are set to embark on an adventure in the theatrical arts this spring as part of Junie B. Jones Jr. the Musical at the Allen Contemporary Theater.

The performances represent what will be the culmination of a two-week intensive course for children ages 6-16. The participating children will go from theater students to performers in a musical in front of a live audience as part of a show for the general public.

While there is a limited number of seats open for students, everyone who Signs up and pays the tuition for the intensive course will receive a role. The rehearsals will be conducted in the style of a camp, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday in early June.

Theater classes and performances like these may choose to use printing services to create everything from script Copies for the actors to programs for the audience.

Junie B. Jones Jr. the Musical has three performances open to the public on June 13 at 7:30 p.m. and June 14 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. For those interested in signing up their children to perform in the musical, the two-week intensive course begins on Monday, June 2, at 8:30 a.m. The class and the performances are held at the Allen Contemporary Theatre at 1210 E Main St. #300 in Allen.
