Earthfest Allen is returning to the area this Easter weekend.
The main event of the day will be the Easter egg hunt for wildflower seeded eggs, which were prepared by local Girl Scouts. This annual event is also set to feature interactive exhibits related to nature, wildlife demonstrations, and environmental activities. Visitors can enjoy live musical performances, walk the eco-trail to learn about the nature of the area, or even have fun flying a kite. They are also encouraged to bring a picnic lunch for the family to enjoy.
Local business vendors and community environmental groups will also be on hand during the day to provide information about their products and services to those in attendance. This will likely include the handing out of printed materials and some free promotional items.
The Dayspring Nature Preserve boasts over 23,000 acres and is located on Watters Branch Creek. It has several pedestrian and bike trails that are heavily used.
