Disney remake to be held near Allen

A live musical enactment of a popular Disney movie is to be held this September, and residents of Allen may wish to attend.

The show is Disney's Descendants, and the actors are all part of the talented North Texas Performing Arts team. The group was founded in 1991 with the aim of giving local children and youth a place to bring out their creative voices while developing useful character skills. Since then, the team has entertained guests both large and small.

For this musical, the plot follows the original storyline, where the famous fairytale characters have retired, banishing their evil counterparts to the Isle of the Lost. Offering a chance for redemption to the children of these evil characters, the son of Belle and King Adam extends an invitation for them to attend school.

In this performance, audiences will be treated to dance numbers, witty dialogues, and interactive dances and performances. The show will feature musical pieces written and produced by Matthew Tishler, with additional lyrics and arrangements by Madeline Smith.

The show is open to all ages throughout the state, including residents from Allen. Brochure printing offers new ways for live musicals to inform audiences.

The cost for tickets will be $12 in advance. There is a $2 increase beginning September 12.The show will run from September 15 to 18th at the Frisco Discovery Center. This is located at 8004 Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75034.
