The Allen City Council recently approved the rezoning of land once zoned for agriculture open space for a new single-family neighborhood. The new neighborhood will be called Ridgeview Crossing.
Once construction begins, it is possible the owners of the development will work with a local Print company to obtain signage with large format printing to notify residents of the availability of new homes. The community will feature several floor plans beginning at 2,200 square feet.
Residents will have access to the property from two entryways, one on Chelsea Boulevard and the other from Ridgeview Drive. The community will have 226 homes with 129 of those units being on the west and south side of the property, and will start at 2,400 square feet.
The community will offer its residents amenities in the form of a hike and bike trail that will run north and south, and eventually connect to a future trail that is planned for north of the community. Residents will also have access to a two-acre public park being built near the planned amenity center.
The builders intend to use standard construction materials such as stucco, brick, and stone. The homes will also have upgraded garage doors and treated driveways.
Surrounding the community on all but the east side will be a masonry wall eight feet high. The existing wrought iron fence on the southern part of the community will remain intact.
