The HUB in Allen is hosting a free screening of the computer-animated children’s film Scoob! This summer.
The film is another installment in the overall Scooby Doo franchise, once again centering on a mystery that must be solved by an intrepid group of teens. This time, they must stop a canine ghost named Cerberus from being unleashed onto the world, or so it would seem.
The film was directed by Tony Cervone and stars Gina Rodriguez as Velma, has Zac Efron playing Fred, Amanda Seyfired as Daphne, Will Forte as Shaggy and Frank Welker in the role of Scooby-Doo.
Scoob! was originally supposed to come out in theaters. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic at the time, it debuted in a paid video-on-demand format on 15th May, 2020, in the U.S. and Canada. The film is a standout from other entries in the franchise due to being rendered in computer animation, rather than the traditional hand-drawn medium. Two live-action Scooby-Doo films were also released in the early 2000s.
The HUB where Scoob! will be shown is a family-friendly restaurant, with the film projected on a large 30’ screen in an outdoor setting with open seating and a variety of meals and beverages on offer.
Film screenings like this may choose to use brochure printing for program schedules or informational pamphlets.
Movie Night: Scoob! is happening on July 31, beginning at 7:30 p.m., at The HUB at 1289 Johnson Road in Allen.
