Charitable event in Allen looks for volunteers

The organization Food for the Hungry is searching for volunteers to help out during a concert in March held at the Allen Event Center.

Food for the Hungry will be attending TobyMac’s Hits Deep Tour 2021 to raise awareness for its cause. The group needs volunteers to help spread information about the organization to concertgoers. Those who volunteer during the event will have an opportunity to watch portions of the show. People are expected to stay for at least 30 minutes after the concert is finished. Everyone who attends will need to have their temperature checked.

The non-profit group Food for the Hungry is an organization dedicated to ending all Forms of human poverty. Over 20 worldwide countries are assisted by the group, receiving important supplies such as clean water, food, vocational training, and medical aid. The organization also adheres to the Red Cross Code of Conduct to ensure people receive the best possible assistance. Groups like this can use brochure printing to make educational resources that raise awareness for their cause.

The concert will be held on Friday, March 5 from 4:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Volunteers can register for free, though they must be able to move quickly and be at least 16 years old. Participants should also be comfortable with crowds and handling questions. People are encouraged to bring personal masks and gloves to the event.
