Kone has made the commitment to move into Allen's huge new office complex. The company already leases office space here, as well as operating a testing facility in McKinney.
Internationally known in the elevator and escalator industry, Kone will take all of the first and part of the second buildings in the development's $26 million first phase.
In its quest to provide the best ‘People Flow’ experience, Ron Bagwill – one of the Kone's vice presidents – says the company has been growing its capabilities in Allen. He said:
“This new location, with the additional office space and improved testing facilities, will allow us to continue this trend.”
Construction is expected to be underway this year on the first phase of the site, which comprises seven acres of the 22.5 total acreage. It is anticipated that Kone will be able to take occupancy by the second quarter of 2015.
Many changes will occur as operations move to the new location. Stationery printers will need to be informed so that new Letterheads, envelops, and invoices can be printed with the company's new address. Employees will also need to contact a business card printing service to ensure they give stakeholders their current contact information.
