A new high-quality hotel and convention center will be built in Allen, scheduled to open in 2018.

The $91m Delta by Marriott project is being developed by Altera Development, and will feature 300 streamlined rooms for guests and plenty of convention space. Once built, the facility will be one of the largest convention centers in North Texas, offering plenty of parking for hotel guests.

The hotel and convention center is being built near Watters Creek at Montgomery Farms. This will offer hotel and convention visitors a chance to shop and dine at upscale restaurants.

Delta by Marriott will have an upscale restaurant, bar, and pool for guests to relax or entertain themselves. Extra amenities are a pantry and full service fitness center.

The size of the convention center opens up the opportunity for Allen to host larger conventions and corporate events, thus immensely expanding the areas tourism business.

The news of the convention center has attracted many new corporate clients to the region, with a groundbreaking taking place recently for a five-story corporate building near the Delta By Marriott Convention Center. This building has 125,000 feet of space and a large parking garage.
