Allen to host educational community festival

The Dayspring Nature Reserve will be hosting a family-friendly event this April known as Earthfest Allen.

Earthfest Allen is a community festival that offers people a weekend of fun activities and informational booths that educate attendees on a variety of topics. Subjects covered during the event include animal welfare, the environment, financial wellness, and community health. Visitors can walk through the park to meet face-to-face with representatives from local museums and nature preserves.

This year, Earthfest Allen has also partnered with the Allen ISD STEAM Center to provide guests with details about different universities, career paths, and sustainability. There will be other activities held at the festival, such as group nature walks, hands-on environmental booths, kite flying, and live wildlife demonstrations. Organizations that host community events similar to this can use poster printing to create ads for their special occasions.

Earthfest Allen will be held on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5. The festival has been educating the public for free since 2011, so no prior registration or ticket purchases are necessary. All booths that attend the event will only be providing educational resources to visitors. No merchandise will be sold at the festival.

Those who are interested in becoming volunteers for Earthfest Allen can apply online starting March 1. Event organizers are also looking for any scouts, educators, or businesses to help host educational booths.
