The Allen Philharmonic Orchestra is aiming to tap into the public’s inner superhero fan with its ‘Marvel vs. DC’ concert.
Organizers said the concert, taking place at Lowery Auditorium, is meant as a fun event for the whole family. Comic Books and superheroes have become a huge part of mainstream entertainment in recent years through popular superhero films, and the music from these movies will be the focus of the concert.
The concert’s organizers are promising to offer something for everyone, regardless of what franchise you like more.
The show will feature music from Marvel and DC productions such as Spiderman, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America, The Avengers, Superman, and more. In addition, other soundtracks from films considered “adjacent” to the superhero genre will also be featured, including Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon, and Lord of the Rings.

The Allen Philharmonic Orchestra is a community orchestra specializing in classical music. The orchestra formed as a nonprofit in 1998 and has been active ever since. Each year, the orchestra holds multiple youth concerts involving local students.
