Allen named one of the countrys best places to live

The quiet town of Allen has named the second-best place to in live in the US by Money Magazine.

With consumers moving to the suburbs, more realtors are finding smaller towns more lucrative. This year Money Magazine focused on towns with a population of 10,000 to 100,000 people. This was to highlight smaller towns as good places to live, and Allen’s population of 96,000 meant it fitted into the bracket.

The factors analyzed to get the rating were economic growth, quality of schools, prices of homes, and cultural and recreational resources available to the population.

Allen has spent over $1.76bn in the development of security and cyber security companies. It plans to build a convention center and hotel complex to boost tourism.

Money stated that in Allen, an average house costs $323,676 and job growth is expected to be 17%. The median household income in the area is $104,524, and the average commute is only 30 minutes.

Allen has many special amenities to make it a great place to live. The Allen Event Center has sports, concerts, and rodeos. They have golf, an indoor water park, and large skate park.

The town has a very diverse population and the school system is one of the best in Texas. Allen has many printing companies that can help businesses and groups with advertising specialties.
