The independent, freestanding emergency department opened its doors for the first time on July 25 at 7:00 am.
To celebrate the grand opening of the 24/7 facility, which included a ribbon cutting and a medical community open house, a donation was made by First Choice Emergency Room to Lovejoy High School.
Dr. Gorav Bohil is the Facility Medical Director for the new facility, which is officially known as First Choice Emergency Room Southeast Allen. He said:
“Our promise to our neighbors in Allen is that we will deliver high quality emergency medical care as efficiently and expeditiously as possible.”
First Choice Emergency Room is equipped similarly to a hospital emergency room with full radiology diagnostics. Additionally, the new facility has on-site laboratories that have certification from Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) as well as being accredited by the Commission on Office Laboratories Accreditation (COLA).
