Allen celebrates a holiday at a unique time

Market Street Allen USA is now just two weeks away.

The day is a community-based celebration of the Fourth of July, but this celebration does not happen on the holiday itself. This celebration revolves around the theme of ‘First to the Fourth’ and has done so since 1995.

The event will be held at Celebration Park in Allen. There will be two main stages as well as pop-up performances in other areas of the park. Performances will range from hula hoop dancers, to the National Anthem, to comedy, to orchestral music.

There will be three parking locations nearby where attendees will be free to park and walk to the event. These lots will be at elementary schools. Attendees should be aware that there will likely be a high volume of traffic in the surrounding area.

There is also an option to park at Allen High School and take the free shuttle to the event. Shuttle service will start at 3:30 pm, before the event starts, and will run until 11:00 pm that night.

There will be multiple other activities during the day, including a car show, multiple fitness and sport challenges, and family-friendly activities. There will be a Prehistoric Zone presented by The Dinosaur Company that will give attendees a chance to interact with animatronic dinosaurs.

This event will be finished off with a firework show. Many events like this one have taken advantage of banner printing to help advertise and show the location of this event. This event is free to the public, and will be held on Saturday, June 29.
