Allen animal organization to hold adoption event

People interested in adopting dogs can attend an event this October at Watters Creek in Allen.

Those looking for a new dog to welcome into a loving family can interact with adoptable animals at an event held by The Street Dog Project. Attendees will get an opportunity to meet face-to-face with available dogs that have been rescued from the streets of Dallas. Guests can also speak with representatives from the project to answer any questions about making an adoption or volunteering. Poster printing can raise visibility for events like this by producing ads that can be placed in public settings.

The Street Dog Project is a non-profit group of volunteers who capture elusive street dogs and help the animals become ready for adoption. The organization takes rescued dogs to the vet to be examined, while also giving necessary vaccinations. Members of the project work with street dogs to ensure they become adjusted to living lives in loving homes. The group was initially founded in 2016 to reduce the number of homeless pets through rescue, education, and outreach.

The adoption event will be held on Saturday, October 10 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Anyone interested in adopting puppies from the organization can pay $250, while dogs that are older than one can be adopted for $225. The adoption fees cover the cost of deworming, microchips, and spaying or neutering procedures.
