YMCA to host winter race in Gallatin area
The Sumner County YMCA is hosting its annual Frostbite 5K and 10K race before the end of the month.
Both the 5k and 10k courses are loops that start and end at the YMCA. There will be a one-mile family fun run starting at 8:30 am. The 10K will start at 8:45 am, and the 5K will start at 9:00 am. Awards will be presented about 30 minutes after the last runner crosses the finish line. Participants can pick up their race packets on December 27 or on race day between 7:00 am and 8:00 am.
Registration is open on the YMCA’s website now. The cost is $45 per person for the 5K or 10K, $10 for fun run participants aged 12 and under, and $25 for families participating in the fun run. T-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The YMCA is offering free childcare for members during the race.
Proceeds from the race will support the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. The YMCA offers multiple services and programs for kids, teens, and the community in general in Gallatin and other towns throughout the county. Publix Charities is also sponsoring the race. Organizations often use banner printing services to recognize their sponsors during races.
