TennGreen Land Conservancy is hosting a hike-a-thon throughout the month of April for those in the Gallatin area and the rest of the state.
While the TennGreen Land Conservancy is based in Nashville, people can participate and compete for prizes from anywhere in the world. Participants can get credit for several types of outdoor adventures, including hiking, paddling, off-road mountain biking, rock climbing, and trail running. After each activity, participants need to submit an Adventure Log with the number of miles hiked and other details.
Registration is available on the TennGreen website for both individuals and teams. While it is free to sign up, participants are strongly encouraged to fundraise or make donations. Participants need to raise or contribute at least $100 to qualify for the prizes. All registered participants will receive a T-shirt. Organizations often use Graphic Design Services to design their event T-Shirts.
First, second, and third prizes will be awarded for several categories, including most miles hiked and most money raised. There will also be a photo competition for pictures submitted during the event. Several TennGreen-led group hikes are also scheduled throughout the month. TennGreen Land Conservancy’s hike-a-thon will take place from April 1 through April 30 in any outdoor locations participants would like to explore.
