Dream Catcher Balloon and the Friends of Gallatin Miracle Park are hosting an event in Gallatin this summer.
Friends Take Flight will allow participants, regardless of age or ability, to take a short hot air balloon ride. Dream Catcher Balloon is a nonprofit that provides tethered balloon rides in an ADA-compliant aircraft that uses seats instead of a traditional basket. As riders do not need to climb into a basket, the balloons are accessible for wheelchair users and others with disabilities. One person will ride at a time.
Hot air balloon rides will cost $5 per person and be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those planning to attend the event should register on the Friends of Gallatin Miracle Park website, though this does not guarantee a spot in the balloon. Food trucks and other activities for kids will also be available throughout the weekend. The event is free to attend for those not taking a balloon ride.
Additional donations to Dream Catcher Balloon are welcome. The organization’s mission is to offer a sense of freedom to everyone, regardless of their physical limitations. All Access Coach Leasing, a local transportation company, is sponsoring the event. Sponsors often give out Promotional Products at such events.
Friends Take Flight will run from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday, August 10 and 11 am to 4 pm on Sunday, August 11.
