This summer will see the annual Nashville Stamp and Postcard Show take place in Gallatin, featuring a showcase of historic Stationery.
The event is the annual meeting of the Nashville Philatelic Society, an organization that has been in existence since 1886. This year’s show will feature the theme of “Celebrating Comics, Cartoons, and Superheroes.” The theme aims to bring in a younger audience, alongside the offer of free Stamps for children and free admission for all. The show acts as a meeting place for vendors, collectors, and enthusiasts from across the region to meet, show off their collections of Stamps and Postcards from both the US and other countries, and conduct business.
Announced for the 2021 show are vendors like Dwayne Selix Stamps & Coins, the Stamp Center of Texas, and Collectors Stamp Exchange. There will also be special exhibits like “Women of the Black Heritage Series,” “The 30 Cent John Dewey Stamp,” and “Stamps: The Heart of the Art.” Stamps, Postcards, and other products of Stationery printers are popular collectors’ items because they offer a glimpse into distant times and places. The Philatelic Society holds other events throughout the year, including a biweekly beerhall meet-up.
The 2021 edition of the Nashville Stamp and Postcard Show will take place at the Gallatin Civic Center on August 28 and 29.
