The Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Shamrock Run this March.
The 17th annual 5K and 10K run will raise funds for the Gallatin Chamber Foundation, which supports innovative educational programs in local schools, and is the non-profit associated with the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce. The race’s course takes a mostly flat path through historic downtown Gallatin, so it is suitable for runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels. Those running the 10K will cover the 5K course twice. St. Patrick’s Day costumes are encouraged, and there will be prizes awarded for the best ones.
While registration will be available the day of the race at 6:30 am, participants are encouraged to register in advance at active.com. The cost for individuals is $35 for the 5K run and $45 for the 10K run. Those who register in advance will be guaranteed a race shirt. Race organizers often use Logo Design services to create shirts like this.
Parking for runners will be available at the Sumner County Public Library and the park on S. Water Avenue. Participants will be able to pick up a race packet with a map and other details at the Chamber of Commerce the day before the event.
The race will take place on Saturday, March 12. The 10K run begins at 7:15 am, and the 5K run begins at 7:30 am. Participants will have until 9:00 am to complete the race.
