Bledsoe Creek State Park in Gallatin is celebrating its 50th anniversary this Earth Day.
The celebration will include food trucks, games, inflatables, and more. Playing in the Parks will perform live music during the event, and Kierismatic Design will offer Earth Day-themed face painting. Eden Place’s BBQ and other local food trucks will have lunch available for purchase. A dunk tank and 24-foot rock wall will be provided by Tennessee Bounce Parties. Earth Day crafts and games will be available at Shelter 2.
Attendees are also welcome to spend time on the park’s six miles of trails, which include both wooded and lakefront areas. The anniversary celebration is free to attend, but attendees are asked to register in advance on the parks department website. They will also have the option to make a $10 or $50 donation with their registration. Local governments often use flyer printing services to promote their events.
Anyone who has photos of the park from before 2007 is invited to send them in, along with the date on which the photos were taken. Details are listed on the event registration page. The Friends of Bledsoe Creek organization was founded in 2007 and has kept thorough photo records since then.
The 50th Anniversary Celebration will take place at Bledsoe Creek State Park on Saturday, April 22, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
