The Sumner County Museum in Gallatin is hosting a special tour as part of its Night at the Museum event series this February.
The museum will offer evening tours of the museum featuring costumed interpreters from multiple historical periods. The tour will stop at several spaces throughout the museum. Interpreters will include a 1700s hunter, a Civil War soldier, and a schoolteacher from 1900. Attendees of all ages are welcome. The Sumner County Museum was founded in 1975 by a local collector. Its exhibits include items from a wide range of eras, from fossils to early computers.
Space is limited, so those planning to attend should purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are available on the museum’s website. The cost is $5 per person, which includes beverages and snacks. There will be three tours during the event, which will last 45 minutes. Tours will leave at 5:30 pm, 6:15 pm, and 7:00 pm. Attendees should plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start time and can park in the public spaces throughout downtown Gallatin. Souvenir items will be available for purchase.
Trailhead Pediatric Dentistry is sponsoring the event. Sponsoring businesses often use poster printing services to promote their brand during special events.
The Night at the Museum tour will take place on Saturday, February 4, at the Sumner County Museum in Gallatin.
