Arts center to host fundraiser in Gallatin

The Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) is hosting a fundraising event in Gallatin to support its healing arts program this summer.

The Boots & BBQ event will feature a BBQ dinner donated by the Bryson McCarley Good Neighbor Foundation, as well as an open bar and an art auction. Wanette Robertson will act as master of ceremonies, and Grammy-winning country singer John Berry will perform to close out the evening. MACC healing arts program facilitators will lead participants in an interactive artistic experience as well.

Tickets are available on MACC’s website now. The cost is $60 per person or $750 to sponsor a table of 10. The latter option comes with 10 tickets and recognition of the sponsor’s business or family. Organizers often use banner printing services to recognize sponsors at their events.

Proceeds from the event will support the Between the Lines Healing Arts Program, which provides free arts services for military veterans who have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries or PTSD. The program gives participants an opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings, which can build their communication, problem-solving, and coping skills. For many veterans, this helps with stress, depression, and anxiety. MACC partners with American Legion Post 17 Veterans Residence in Gallatin and other local veterans’ groups.

The Boots & BBQ Fundraiser Event will take place on Saturday, August 2 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Bagsby Ranch in Gallatin.
